Overview

A Privateer be a graded (G1 through G8) NFT that collects tribute share from Deckhand claims an' seizures. Privateers only earn while staked at HQ.

Grades

Privateer rank be rolled at mint time an' be permanent. Higher rank confers a higher tribute share via th' grade-weighted formula described below.

Tribute Weightin' Formula

Fer each HQ-staked Privateer, weight = grade ^ 1.5. Share = weight / sum(weights). Th' 20% claim tribute an' th' full seizure pool be distributed by these shares.

Hidden Tribute-Share Variance + AUDIT DAY

Every Privateer carries a confidential performance profile, identical in shape to th' Deckhand variance documented at /docs/workers §2.8. Th' profile modulates each Privateer's share o' collected tribute without alterin' th' incomin' claim-tribute or seizure amount. Ledger integrity be preserved.

Per-Privateer Normalization

Fer every distributed tribute event, each Privateer's base share (grade ^ exponent) be multiplied by that Privateer's daily roll values. Th' weighted shares be then normalized so th' sum equals th' incomin' tribute amount exactly. This keeps ledger integrity — a 20% claim tribute always distributes fully to th' Privateer pool, with zero supply drift, an' th' variance only redistributes *within* th' incomin' pool among staked Privateers.

AUDIT DAY

When a Privateer rolls a high-performance day, a red AUDIT DAY stamp appears on th' Privateer card until midnight UTC. On an AUDIT DAY th' Privateer's weighted share be multiplied by 2.0× before normalization. A Privateer rollin' AUDIT DAY in a pool where no other Privateer rolled AUDIT DAY will capture a larger portion o' th' incomin' tribute — at th' expense o' th' other staked Privateers' shares. No additional WAGE be created. Th' pie be fixed. Th' slice sizes be not.

Fallback — No Roll, Kill Switch

If no NftDayRoll exists fer today (e.g. th' 00:00 UTC daily worker were paused or th' kill switch be off), tribute distribution falls back to pure grade-weighted shares with no per-Privateer variance. Th' payout be identical to what a G1-through-G8 pool would have received under th' baseline formula. Th' economy continues runnin' with or without th' variance layer.
