Connect via Hive Keychain on desktop, or link an existing Hive account using email and an 8-digit PIN on mobile. Your active key is encrypted with your PIN and a server-side secret. Neither half alone is sufficient.

DEPOSIT
Transfer HIVE from any linked account to @taxed. No memo required. The deposit watcher credits your in-game balance within seconds. Deposits are irrevocable once processed.

MINT
Issue Form SS-4 to hire personnel for 50 HIVE. Server-side RNG assigns your NFT: 90% probability of a Worker, 10% probability of an Agent at grade G5 through G8. All rolls are seeded and logged for audit.

STAKE
Workers are deployed to the Office, where they accrue WAGE on the hourly pool tick. Agents are assigned to IRS HQ, where they receive a share of every Claim tax and Quit seizure processed system-wide.

CHOOSE
Once a staked Worker accrues a minimum of 2,000 WAGE, a determination is required: CLAIM (retain 80%, remit 20% to Agents) or QUIT (50% probability of full return, 50% probability of total seizure). There is no third option.

EXPORT
WAGE held in your in-game balance may be exported to a tradeable Hive Engine token at 1,000 WAGE per transaction. A 5% burn fee applies. The resulting WAGE token is visible in any Hive Engine-compatible wallet.

AGENT GRADE SCHEDULE — IRS HQ
Grade determines proportional tax share. Grades are assigned at mint and cannot be changed.

The baseline Agent classification. A Field Agent monitors routine filings and collects a standard share of processed taxes. Entry-level, but still collecting while Workers labor. More common in the Gen 0 pool than higher grades.

The Auditor applies structured review to all incoming claims. A meaningfully larger tax share than a Field Agent. Auditors are assigned to recurring accounts and do not stop until the ledger balances — in their favor.

A rare classification. The Special Agent is authorized to conduct expanded assessment procedures. Tax share is substantially higher than an Auditor. When a Special Agent is in the HQ pool, quit seizures become notably more consequential.

The highest grade issued. The Commissioner holds approximately twice the tax-share weight of a Field Agent. Extremely rare in Gen 0 minting. A single Commissioner deployed at HQ alters the tax distribution for every Worker in every active Office.

WAGE EXPORT — HIVE ENGINE TRANSFER
WAGE tokens exported to Hive Engine are real, tradeable assets in the Hive ecosystem. The in-game balance is debited. The burn is permanent. The exported token is transferable.
In-game WAGE accrues as a database balance. At any time, an enrollee may initiate an export to the Hive Engine WAGE token. A 5% burn fee is applied to each export transaction. The maximum per-transaction export is 1,000 WAGE. The resulting token is issued directly to the linked Hive account and is visible on Hive Engine-compatible explorers.

Yes. QUIT is a real 50/50 determination. If the server rolls against you, 100% of your accrued WAGE is seized and transferred to the IRS Agent pool. There is no insurance, no reversal, and no appeal process. The odds are stated clearly on every Quit confirmation screen. If the possibility of total loss is unacceptable, do not press QUIT.

Yes. Every roll — mint class, mint grade, Gen 1 forfeiture, Quit seizure determination — stores a per-event seed on the database row at the time of execution. Outbound broadcasts — withdrawals, WAGE exports, Gen 1 issuance — are queued as HiveTransactionExecution rows before the DB transaction commits. Node failover is handled by lib/hive_api_module.rb, which maintains a ranked list of RPC endpoints and retries with exponential backoff via Sidekiq. A failed broadcast does not debit the user until the delivery is confirmed. Node outages cause delay, not loss.
